By now it is no secret that The Lion King serves as one of the main inspirational sources of BORN IN AFAR’s music. There are, however, a number of other movies and their scores which influenced several songs lyrically or musically. Since I really appreciate the work of Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Co., I had the idea to release a bunch of videos in which the most popular melodies of these movies are played on the Kalimba. Besides the Kalimba, which represents a main instrument of BORN IN AFAR, my cat Kalle plays a particularly important role in every video by embodying a charismatic element of the corresponding movie. 😊
